The year 2019 has taken off as the recent inauguration last week of the International Airport Region of Murcia ‘Juan De La Cierva’, we have one more resource to distribute our delicacy from the Huerta Murcia, ‘The Lemon’, to the most distant places.
Despite the two months with transfers of 38 Hm3, the reservoirs at the head of the Tagus (Entrepeñas and Buendía) continue to fly in levels to continue authorizing more transfers to the thirsty areas. It is expected, we cross our fingers, a great water year in terms of the Tajo-Segura Transfer.
The cold for the moment has also flown by, two nights below 0°C and skimming the stick in terms of damage to the crop. As you can see in the photo that heads the post, the herbs that coexist with our crop in our farms under organic production did suffer a little cold, frosty were at dawn.
In another measure of action to improve biodiversity we have taken advantage of old trunks of trees that passed to a better life to serve as a flight platform for raptors that keep us in ecological balance in the control of especially rabbits and hares (See photo 2 and 3).
As we said in a previous post from ‘El Campo Responde’ (http://frusemur.com/seccion-el-campo-res/mola-marzo/), our interest in these raptors and their environmental use is evident.
See you in February, Valentine, in love with the land that gives us food.
